Repairs Supervisor

Location: Camden, London

Salary: £28.81 per hour

Are you a hands-on and driven Repairs Supervisor? We're looking for an experienced professional to lead our responsive repairs team in Camden, ensuring residents receive safe, timely, and effective property maintenance.

The Role

As a Repairs Supervisor, you'll take a lead role in managing day-to-day repair and maintenance operations across both occupied and void properties. You'll be responsible for coordinating a team of skilled operatives and external contractors, ensuring that all works are completed to a high standard, within budget, and on schedule.

You'll be the first point of technical escalation, oversee job scheduling, and play a key role in maintaining decent homes standards and improving tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the delivery of responsive repairs, ensuring excellent service delivery and value for money

Allocate and oversee workloads of in-house operatives and approved contractors

Conduct quality control inspections of ongoing and completed works

Liaise with tenants and resolve repair-related issues quickly and professionally

Coordinate the timely turnaround of void properties, minimising void loss

Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, building codes, and internal policies

Track performance against KPIs and contribute to regular reporting for senior management

Provide technical advice and support to the repairs team as needed

Keep accurate, up-to-date records using housing and repairs management systems

Support procurement activities, contractor performance monitoring, and budget control

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within social housing or property maintenance

Solid knowledge of building trades, repair techniques, and relevant legislation

Demonstrable experience leading and motivating multi-trade teams and subcontractors

A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage complaints and resolve issues effectively

Competency with repairs or housing management software, MS Office, and mobile working tools

Full UK driving licence - Van and Fuel card provided

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or construction discipline

SMSTS, SSSTS, or similar health and safety qualifications
