Pastoral Support Worker (Full Time)

Leeds (LS26)

GBP90 GBP100 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The role

Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Pastoral Support Worker to join a Primary school in Leeds (LS26) to start on a Full–Time basis. Working in this Primary school as part of an established team, the desired Pastoral Support Worker will be working on a small group or 1:1 basis in supporting pupils with SEMH and SEN needs. The desired candidate will need to have had significant experience supporting with children with SEMH needs and a real desire to make a difference. You will support pupils in class as well as implement individual behaviour plans (SEMH plans) set by the SENCO and fellow members of the pastoral team.

This school has a good Ofsted rating and is a two–form school. It is at the heart of the community with inclusivity at the centre of everything they do.

The desired Pastoral Support Worker will:

Be a role model to allBe able to de–escalate challenging situationsBe proactive and support the engagement of pupilsBe confident to deliver activities 1 to 1 and a small group basisHave a DBS on the Update Service Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
