Interim Stock Condition Surveyor – Greater Manchester
Contract Type: 3 to 6 months
The Opportunity:
We’re supporting a reputable housing association in Greater Manchester seeking an experienced Interim Stock Condition Surveyor to support a large-scale stock condition programme. This is a crucial role contributing to accurate asset data collection, future investment planning, and ensuring homes remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
Role Responsibilities:

Conduct stock condition surveys across general needs and supported housing stock.

Identify key defects, HHSRS hazards, and required capital investment.
*
Capture accurate component lifecycles, elemental data, and condition ratings.
*
Update asset data systems (e.g. Lifespan, Keystone, Apex) with survey results.
*
Liaise with asset, compliance, and property teams to feed survey outcomes into wider strategy.
*
Flag any urgent compliance or safety concerns for immediate action.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Demonstrable experience conducting stock condition surveys in a social housing setting.
*
Strong understanding of building pathology, planned maintenance, and HHSRS.
*
Familiarity with survey software and mobile data collection tools.
*
HNC/HND in Building Surveying or similar (or qualified by experience).
*
Ability to work independently across a mobile patch with excellent time management
