Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estates Systems and Compliance Manager to oversee compliance, systems, and governance across multiple London sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all estates services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and mandatory legislation.

You will provide leadership and assurance on compliance within the Estates Maintenance Department, manage computerised maintenance systems, and oversee document management and asset registers. This role will also involve producing compliance reports, developing action plans, and supporting the delivery of both in-house and contracted maintenance services.

This is a pivotal role for an experienced estates professional with a strong technical background who can bring expertise, assurance, and innovation to estates compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of estates statutory and mandatory compliance reporting.

Maintain and oversee estates maintenance systems, including CAD drawings and asset registers.

Lead on document management and ensure efficient storage of compliance records.

Support the mobilisation and handover of capital projects with full O&M documentation.

Oversee supplier management, stock control, and estates-related procurement processes.

Produce compliance, performance, non-conformance, and risk reports for senior stakeholders.

Develop and manage training requirements for estates staff, ensuring compliance with best practice.

Deputise for the Deputy Head of Estates and participate in the estates on-call rota.

Contribute to financial management, including planned maintenance contracts, budgets, and efficiency initiatives.

Line-manage Estates Coordinators and supply staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Person Specification Essential

Degree or equivalent experience in estates, building, or engineering discipline.

Extensive experience in estates services, including compliance and building services.

Strong knowledge of statutory compliance frameworks (HTMs, HBNs, BS standards).

Experience of financial, budgetary, and resource management.

Excellent IT and reporting skills, including estates-related systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work under pressure.Desirable

Professional membership of a recognised building services institution.

IOSH or similar health & safety certification.

Experience working in a healthcare or complex estates environment.
