Help bring science to life and join a leading pharmaceutical company to play a key role in delivering impactful research that drives healthcare innovation!

Hobson Prior is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and enhance workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee wellbeing at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. In this role, you will lead EHS initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety practices. This position also includes responsibility for site security operations.

Responsibilities:

Lead and implement workplace safety and environmental programs to reduce risks and ensure compliance with regulations. Collaborate with teams across departments to integrate safety practices into daily operations. Develop and mentor EHS staff to strengthen technical and leadership skills. Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement. Manage audits, inspections, and compliance reporting for environmental and safety standards. Oversee security operations, including access control and emergency response. Maintain accurate records for waste management, energy tracking, and legal compliance submissions. Support occupational health and wellbeing programs aligned with risk assessments.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.Professional safety qualification such as NEBOSPrior experience with ISO 14001/45001 standardsStrong communication, leadership, and team–building abilities. Experience with EHS management systems and Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of safety principles, risk reduction strategies, and compliance frameworks. Background in pharmaceutical or high–risk manufacturing environments is advantageous.
