Deputy Care Home Manager Worthing

Location: Worthing

Salary: GBP40,000 per annum

Hours: 45 hours per week

Shifts: Combination of floor–based (7:30am 7:30pm) and supernumerary hours

Are you an experienced and motivated leader looking to take the next step in your career? We re seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in Worthing, supporting the day–to–day running of our well–established care home.

This is a non–clinical role, ideal for a compassionate and organised individual with a strong background in care, team leadership, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Split Role Leadership & Hands–On Care

Supernumerary Duties (Flexible hours): Conduct audits and quality assurance checksLead, support and develop the care teamSupport with recruitment, staff rotas and performance managementEnsure compliance with CQC standards and internal policiesAttend handovers regularly to maintain oversight and continuitySupport the Home Manager with inspections and reports On–the–Floor Duties (Shift pattern: 7:30am 7:30pm): Work as part of the care team to deliver high–quality, person–centred careAct as a role model and senior point of contact for staff on shiftRespond to care needs, incidents, or issues that arise in real timeSupport with medication administration and documentation What We re Looking For:

Previous experience in a senior care or team leader role (Deputy Manager or similar)Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practice in social careExcellent communication, organisational and leadership skillsA hands–on approach with the ability to manage, support and motivate othersA genuine passion for providing exceptional care to residents What We Offer:
