Job Title: Childcare Practitioner

Location: Various Nurseries across Basingstoke

Job Type: Agency/Temporary

Rates: 13– 14ph

About the Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated Agency Nursery Assistants to support early years settings across Basingstoke and surrounding areas. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, caring, and educational environment for children aged 0–5 years. This role offers flexibility, as you will be working across multiple nurseries, supporting the needs of different settings on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the delivery of the early years curriculum.

Support children in their learning, play, and social development.

Help with day–to–day nursery routines, including mealtime supervision and nap times.

Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Maintain a clean and tidy nursery setting.

Work alongside nursery staff to provide the best care for children.

Essential Criteria:

Experience working with young children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting.

Knowledge of child development and early years education (Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare).

A passion for working with children and supporting their development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.

Flexibility to work across different settings and adapt to various team dynamics.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
