The Role: Behaviour Support Assistant

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships, and re–engage with their learning.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will provide both 1:1 and small group support, using effective behaviour management strategies to promote engagement and positive outcomes. Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and the wider school team, the Behaviour Support Assistant will play a key role in fostering a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: Behaviour Support Assistant

Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support as a Behaviour Support AssistantImplement personalised behaviour strategies to support individual pupil needsSupport emotional regulation and positive behaviour developmentAssist with de–escalation and proactive behaviour managementWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to support progressPromote pupil wellbeing, safety, and engagement throughout the school dayKey Details – Behaviour Support Assistant
