Description
Affinity Workforce are looking to recruit Autism Support Workers to work within a Special Education Needs School in the Romford area The school caters for pupils with SEND with a wide range of needs, aged between 4–16. These needs include but are not limited to ASD, ADHD, cerebral palsy and challenging behaviour.
The role will be to provide personal care, assist with supporting meal times and other physical support needs such as assisting with moving and handling requirements. As a personal care assistant it is essential that you are able to provide support to maintain the students dignity and Independence at all times, have an encouraging nature and be able to maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
We are keen to speak to people who have professional experience in care and are confident and experienced in delivering personal care to service users but would also consider those that have previously been a carer to a family member.

The role is full time, working Mon to Friday 08:30 to 15:30 term time only starting ASAP. This is ongoing, and could lead to a permanent post for candidates who get on well in post. Successful applicants will be subject to referencing and DBS checks, including both adult and child barred list checks.
