Description

The Recruitment Group is looking for Analytical Chemists to join our Client in Loughborough. Our Client has over a century of experience in combination product development and manufacturing. The role of the Analytical Chemist is to document analytical testing following GMP requirements. If you are interested in the role of the Analytical Chemist then please carry on reading.

Pay for the Analytical Chemist:

GBP14.36 per hour

Hours:

Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week. Core hours 10am to 3pm.

Overview:

We are looking for skilled and passionate graduates to join this wonderful organisation. You will be documenting analytical testing and ensure quality of data delivered is fit for purpose and where the customer is core.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and document analytical testing following cGMP requirements, delivering to plan on time and in fullEnsure quality of data delivered is fit for purpose, whilst working in a fast, flexible environment, with a strong focus on right first timeResolve technical problems by examination and evaluation of data and progression of laboratory investigationsRepresent the department in a professional manner as and when required, when interacting with both internal and external customers and regulatorsEstablish continuous improvement as part of normal everyday work

Knowledge & Skills:

Testing and/or knowledge of pressurised metered dose inhalers is preferableGood understanding of GMP and GLPKnowledge of analytical chemistry and its practical applicationWorking knowledge of HPLCWorking knowledge of other analytical instrumentation, preferably GC, MS, UPLC and UVUnderstanding of basic statistics desirableComputer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong verbal and numerical aptitude skillsGood communication skillsStrong team player with the ability to work independently

Good organisational, interpersonal, and time management skillsStrong attention to detailEnthusiastic, flexible, conscientious and proactive in approachTo work efficiently with supervision or unsupervised as requiredTake a positive approach to own training and developmentGood decision making skillsGood problem solving skills

Safety:

Promote a "safety first" culture and environmentRaise and report any safety incidents as requiredComplete Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) closures on time in full

Qualifications:

Ideally a degree (or higher) in a relevant scientific discipline with practical laboratory elements (or equivalent) or relevant previous experience
