This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in the Safeguarding Team as a full–time Adult Social Care Team Manager within Essex County Council. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring vulnerable adults receive high–quality support and guidance to live independently and safely. What you will do:

Provide leadership and support to your team, driving them to deliver a high–quality service that promotes healthy and independent living for adults.Foster the development of team members, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to excel in their roles.Offer expert advice and support on complex safeguarding cases, ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational standards.Act as an escalation point for complaints, handling feedback in a way that maintains and builds positive relationships with service users.Implement integrated working approaches with partners, communities, and the voluntary sector, achieving successful outcomes for adults.Represent the team in various meetings, both internally and with partner agencies, to ensure cohesive and effective service delivery.

The Discharge To Assess Service focuses on enabling adults to transition smoothly from hospital to community, preventing readmissions and fostering a safe discharge process. By working closely with healthcare partners, the team assesses adults post–discharge to ensure their recovery and independence continue to be prioritised in a supportive environment.
