Description
Meet Daisy
Daisy is a curious and captivating little soul who’s been with us since she was just 10 weeks old. Now approximately 8 months old, she’s spent the majority of her life in rescue—but her foster parents adore her and are hoping she’ll soon find the forever home she truly deserves.
---
📖 Daisy's Story
Arrival Date: 17th May
Previous Owner: Surrendered by someone who could no longer care for her.
Condition on Arrival: Young, healthy, and full of potential. Daisy didn’t come with much, but she’s blossomed in foster care thanks to love, patience, and a thoughtfully enriched environment.
---
👑 Personality & Behaviour
Temperament: Playful, inquisitive, and cheekily shy.
Activity Level: Daisy is a busy bee—typical of female Syrians. She’s always exploring, rearranging her tunnels, and keeping tabs on her humans.
Social Preferences: Initially reserved with strangers, Daisy will dart away and pretend she’s shy—but don’t be fooled. Her curiosity always wins, and she’ll soon be peeking out to see what you’re up to.
Trust Building: Daisy doesn’t enjoy being held, but once she trusts you, she’ll allow gentle strokes—and that moment is pure magic.
Handling Style: Jug or tunnel transfers work best. She’s cooperative and easy to move without stress.
---
🏠 Housing Requirements
Cage Type: Barless only. Daisy’s active nature and interest in climbing make this essential.
Enrichment Needs:
- Deep bedding for burrowing
- Plenty of tunnels and hideouts
- Out-of-cage time for exploration
- Toys and textures to keep her engaged
---
🍽️ Food & Treats
Food Motivation: Moderate—she enjoys treats but isn’t driven by them.
Preferred Reward: Interaction and enrichment. Daisy thrives when her environment challenges her and her humans respect her personality.
---
💡 Ideal Adopter
Daisy would flourish with someone who:
- Understands her need for space and independence
- Can provide a barless setup with lots of enrichment
- Is patient and willing to earn her trust
- Appreciates her playful spirit and respects her boundaries
---
