Description
Looking for an Irish musician to help tell the story of Saint Patrick’s Brigade, Irish artillery and cavalry who fought for Mexico in the Mexican-American War. Martyrs in Mexico, they are largely forgotten in the UK. We want to change that by telling the “San Patricios” story through Mexican eyes.
Creatives on board include accordionist and Musical Director of multiple Grammy award winning artist Lila Downs, and two other distinguished folk singers. What’s missing is an Irish musician of collaborative bent with a passion for history and the plight of the immigrant.
A third party seeks funding for a pilot program we hope to host in kate summer or Fall of 2026.
