RARE PEAVEY AXCELERATOR 4 STRING FRETLESS BASS (MADE IN USA
A rare opportunity to purchase this fine bass. Peavey Axcelerator Fretless 4 string bass, in lovely condition. Don't be put off by the name, it's a quality USA-built instrument, well made using fine materials. This is a great fretless bass, the active preamp and twin pickups combine to give a wide range of tones. The bass is lightweight well balanced, very comfortable and easy to play, the neck is thin and very easy to work with. As you can see from the photos, it's a beautiful instrument, the pearl effect scratchplate contrasts nicely with the slightly sparkly black finish of the body. It's currently set up with round wound strings but it also sounds great with flatwounds which it originally wore. Shame to see it go but I'm clearing out old equipment and this one just doesn't get played enough since the upright bass came along.Serial Number 07667 428Features:Swamp Ash body Bilaminated Rock Maple NeckPau Ferro fingerboard (12" radius)Two VFL Plus active humbucking pickupsLow Impedence output (18Volt electronics)Active 2 band EQ34" Scale8 degree tilt headstockGraphlon top nutReduced-mass "mini" bass machine headsFully Shielded electronicsIn excellent mechanical, electrical and cosmetic condition
