Peavey Patriot bass (1987)

Description

USA made Peavey Patriot bass, fully restored but still bearing the battle scars of a life on stage.

I have replaced the pick guard with a USA made one (the one that came on the bass was a horrible home made example - looked like it had been chewed out of a poor quality 3 ply material).

The pickup surround is a 3D printed replacement (original no longer available)

The original bridge is tatty and not really functional so I have replaced it with a Gotoh 404SJ-4 Bass Bridge, the original will be included in the sale.

The Super Ferrite pickup is powerful, bright and gnarly!

Fitted with original tuners that work fine.

The previous owner(s) had sanded the Peavey logo off the headstock. It now has a period correct replacement “restoration” decal.

Everything works as it should, truss rod access is a bit restricted, but a socket on the end of an extension gets the job done. Overall the neck is solid with no fret buzz and action is set to factory spec. The Peavey micro-tilt neck adjustment is also functional.

There was a chip out of the neck which has been filled with maple dust and glue filler. It’s not invisible to the eye, but is invisible to touch!

Currently fitted with D’Addario ENR72 medium (50-105) ground/half round strings.
