Description
60s and 70s Hagstrom Vikings are made in Sweden. Commonly seen in the USA they were guitars that pro musicians used. They can be seen being used in the studio in the documentary on the Wrecking Crew. Other Hagstroms are also used by Arcade fire, Bowie, Franz Ferdinand and Elvis,
This is a Hagstrom Viking from the mid-70s (they used traditional shaped F holes for a couple of years that I prefer). The guitar is in excellent playing order and the action and intonation are great. All electronics are original and functional. There's some playing wear throughout including some marks on the body plus finish cracking as you’d expect for a guitar this old. The input jack socket has been reinforced and there’s a piece of the finish that’s flaked off (see photos).
I had a gibson bigsby put on but the original tailpiece is included (see photos) if you want to get it back to stock and sell the bigsby.
