Old Ivory respray. light coat will lift easily with some thinners Just don't like the pink tones of the later issues.
Some burrs and scratches, Wear on fingerboard, some lifting. crack on scratch plate near neck
New, old stock, pickups, (originals included, but high ohm, can be rewound, but couldn't be fashed myself.)
(just added a 97 ohm humbucker to the bridge, really brings out the bluesy mid and low range)
Warm mellow bridge tone, bright sharp neck tone, everything in between. Plays beautifully.
New SS bridge pieces, old zinc ones corroded and threads torn away. Cleared all bridge rattle.
No fret buzz, fast action. New adagio strings,
Comes with spare modern loaded control plate, spare bridge plate, and original pickups

The Mexican made Tele's have a much more woody bluesy sound than the Americans, due to the type of woods used. There is also the point that the standard of production is much higher in the mexican factory, it doesn't suffer from the american factories' Monday, Friday, big game, and holiday, errors. While a good american is superior the chances of getting a dodgy one are far greater. (from guitar world apr 1999)
Its very rare now to get a Tele that remains set up for Blues and RnB
most have been choked up with P90's and such, to give toppy heavily distorted sounds for rock, also the string setup is reveresed so that the bridge is lower and the nut is higher making for buzzy and rattling first position play but making it easier for lead and bar work.
This is still an eminently playable and beatifully balanced guitar. Anyone who plays a genre even a little removed from Heavy Rock will appreciate and enjoy the warm tones and playability oc this marvelous little guitar.
