I have for sale a 1987 Takamine EG330 which over the years has become a bit of a cult classic—especially among fans of the so-called “lawsuit era” guitars. Crafted in Japan, this model reflects Takamine’s high build quality before much of their production shifted overseas. It features a Martin-style headstock, which is part of why it's dubbed a “lawsuit” model—Takamine’s designs from that era closely resembled Martin guitars, leading to some legal tension. The spec of this guitar:
1. Top: Spruce
2. Back & Sides: Mahogany
3. Neck: Mahogany
4. Fretboard: Rosewood
5. Electronics: Pickup with volume and tone controls
6. Finish: Natural gloss
These early Takemine guitars are known for their warm, balanced tone and comfortable action, it’s a great fit for folk-style strumming and fingerpicking. This guitar is no exception and sounds great having just been setup and supported with a new set of strings. There are a few minor dings as would be expected from an instrument of this vintage, but it has been very well looked after and comes with a quality hard case.
