Casa Ferrer Classical Guitar - Short Scale 630mm
A very nice tone, and a joy to play.
This lovely short scaled Spanish guitar has received some restoration prior to sale, so know that whilst she is very old, with plenty of scars and wear and tear, I'm really pleased with just how well she plays.
The next owner will ideally be somebody who doesn't care that she is worn, or has had minor repairs etc. What I'm looking for is somebody to give an old lady a good home and just enjoy playing her.
I've repaired an internal brace, a few puncture wounds / cracks improved, tidied all the fretwork up, repaired and restored the tuners, and any subtle jobs I found taken care of.
She has a bone nut, and a compensated bone saddle.
A new set of strings will get you there until you fit your favourite set.
Cosmetically she was old and tired, but I've worked on the finish enough to bring her up to a soft sheen, added a little French polish here and there, and cleaned her. Still old and tired, but much better than she was.
She plays with a very comfortable action, whilst maintaining a good saddle height.
Her short scale will be of interest to those who can't quite manage those stretches, as a bit easier to play, and know that short scale guitars are hard to find.
She's not an expensive professional concert guitar, but if you manage expectations, and just want a vintage guitar that plays lovely, you're going to be very happy indeed. Look past her cosmetics, and just enjoy her.
She has a very famous name, if you read below:

Action at treble: 2.5mm
Action at bass: 3mm

Casa Ferrer is the oldest and most distinguished guitar manufacturer in Granada. The company was founded by Benito Ferrer, one of the most important Spanish luthiers in history, and considered the father of the Granada school of guitar making.
Other important luthiers, including Eduardo Ferrer (his nephew) and Antonio Durán later co-owned the Casa Ferrer workshop shortly after the Spanish Civil War.
