Description
This is a Fender Sting Signature Precision Bass from the early production years between 2001 and 2002, an instrument that pays tribute to the Police frontman’s iconic 1954 Precision Bass. Built in Japan, it captures the spirit of Fender’s earliest electric basses while offering the reliability and craftsmanship modern players expect.
The body is made from alder, finished in a gorgeous two-tone sunburst that showcases the wood grain beautifully. The maple neck features a comfortable vintage-style “C” profile and a 7.25-inch radius maple fingerboard with 20 frets, making it easy to navigate whether you’re laying down smooth lines or digging in with a pick. True to its inspiration, it’s fitted with a single ’51 Precision Bass pickup, controlled by simple volume and tone knobs, delivering a raw, punchy voice that sits perfectly in the mix. The vintage-style bridge with threaded saddles and open-gear tuners complete the classic look and feel.
This example is in excellent condition for a bass over two decades old. The finish has been well cared for, showing only minor playwear and a few light marks that give it authentic character without compromising its appearance.
It comes with a hard case for protection and transport. With its combination of vintage vibe, unmistakable tone, and collectible appeal, the Sting Signature Precision Bass is an outstanding choice for players and fans alike.
