I am a local guitar teacher with over 15 years experience
I can teach absolute beginners all the way up to advanced players
I will come to you, which means you can have lessons in the comfort of your own home and not need to travel anywhere
I will teach you songs from a range of eras, genres and artists, all of which will improve your skills as a player
I will also teach you exercises and music theory where it's relevant and necessary
Should you wish to go down the gradings route, I can teach you how to play grading pieces, sight reading, scales and improvisation

I’ve been studying with Ben weekly for the past two years, and my guitar playing has come on massively. I already had a basic grasp of the instrument when we started, but Ben took me back to fundamentals like picking, rhythm, and timing, and then steadily built up layers of technique and theory. That approach has given me a really solid toolbox. I’m now able to tackle complex pieces independently, understand the theory behind them, and confidently add improvisation. I’d strongly recommend working with Ben - and sticking with his approach.

If you are looking for a guitar teacher, I can thoroughly recommend Ben. He is an excellent teacher, goes at a pace to suit you, keeps you accountable and makes learning enjoyable. Ben is a really encouraging, understanding teacher knowing when to push and challenge and when to take a step back. I think one of the most valuable lessons I learned was that learning guitar is a lifetime hobby. It doesn't matter how good you get, you will always be practicing to learn and get better.
