Steel fence posts, wire and accessories.
Fochabers, Moray
£150
Description
This is a set of steel fence posts, wire and accessories that are available following the cancellation of a project.
The posts are made from heavy duty steel angle (40mm x 40mm x 3mm) and are considerably stronger than those usually sold in DIY outlets. At 1.5 metres long they will give a finished fence of approx. 1.0 metre high and are capable of holding up to 11 wires (and more could be added by the purchaser if they wished). They are finished in black paint.
There are 24 'plain' posts, plus 2 with single stays (stays are made from 30mm x 30mm x 3mm steel angle) for the ends of the run, and another one with two stays as a support in the middle of a long run, or it could easily be drilled to make it into a corner post. At 2 metre spacing there are enough posts for a 52 metre long fence (spaced at 3 metres there's enough for a 78 metre long fence).
They are ideal for when you are going to plant a hedge but would like it to be stock (or dog) proof - place the posts and wire, then plant the hedge close to it and over time the hedge will envelope the fence.
Also included is a 25kg roll of 2.5mm heavy duty high-tensile galvanised steel wire; a small roll of softer wire for securing the main wire to the posts, and 10 tensioners - all new and unused.
If the buyer does not have a suitable vehicle to collect the items I may be able to deliver them in the Elgin area in exchange for a small (negotiable) charge to cover fuel costs.
The steel for the posts alone cost almost £200, so my asking price is a substantial discount on the cost of the materials, and takes no account of my time.
