Description
I have a collection of approximately 75 souvenir booklets and newspapers published on the day of significant royal events, many published in the 1970s and 1980s e.g. Queen Elizabeth 11's Silver Jubilee, the marriages of her children and royal births. Many of the newspapers are the Guardian and Observer, but also some from the Independent, The Times and one or two from Daily Express and Daily Mail. There are also colour supplement special editions for Royal events e.g. The Sunday Times magazine etc. There are also 12 issues of The Illustrated London News from the 1970s and 1980s, plus 9 issues of Majesty magazine from 1981 and 1982.
Pre War
A copy of Woman's Illustrated magazine (Coronation number) dated May 8th 1937 (photo of front cover and sample inside page attached)
A copy of The Father of his People published in 1936 by the Daily Mirror on the death of King George V (photo of front cover and sample inside page attached)
Free to anyone interested - as long as you take them all! Must collect.
