Description
Medical reasons mean I am looking to sell my Cortina. I have owned the car for about 2.5 years, but have found it to be too much for me. While refitting the gearbox after changing the clutch, a mounting lug snapped off the engine. As a consequence, I consider the car to be a non-runner. This is a shame, as I've replaced many parts, such as : springs and dampers all round; front suspension ball joints and track-rod ends; ignition coil and HT leads; brake master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, front calipers (to go with the ventilated discs from a Capri); clutch unit and cable; carburettor (Weber twin-choke).
As well as the gearbox mount issue, I have found that the car needs some welding, on the front floor, and the outer sills. Any buyer will need to trailer the car away. Pictures to follow, thank you for your time and interest.
