With us here at RFH Classics we are delighted to offer this 1991 (J) Ford Sierra 2.0 DOHC GLS 5 door finished in striking Magenta Red Metallic. First supplied by Main Agents Godfrey Davis Ford of Welwyn, this car has remained in the same family since new, being with its first owner until his passing in 2016 when it was inherited by his brother. Over the past 24 years the car has led a very gentle life, covering only 42,600 miles in total, with the second keeper contributing fewer than 1,500 miles to its total since 2016.

As a qualified engineer the original owner undertook the car’s annual servicing and upkeep himself however from 2016 the Sierra has been entrusted to a local specialist in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Looking around the car it is clear that both brothers have really taken great care of the car with it being garaged all of its life which has resulted in in how the car presents in its exceptional condition today. With the car comes the original Ford sales brochure which not only confirms its specification but also adds further provenance.

Under the bonnet sits the Ford-built 2.0 litre Double Overhead Cam engine with Electronic Fuel Injection, producing around 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. This engine is fitted with a timing chain and not a belt so only requires replacement when noisy. Known for its smooth delivery and reliability, this engine offers a relaxed yet engaging drive and is paired to a 5 speed manual gearbox. At the turn of the key the Sierra fires willingly into life and drives every bit as well as you would expect from such a well cared for car.

Inside, the Sierra continues to impress. The interior is virtually as fresh as the day it left the showroom and we doubt the rear seats have ever seen any use. The dashboard is still home to the original Ford 2006 RDS radio cassette, a lovely period correct feature of the car The specification for this GLS model also includes Electric Front Windows, a height adjustable driver’s seat, remote central locking with all original keys and a tilt/slide glass sunroof which importantly shows none of the common rust issues often associated with these models.

To accompany the car we have produced a history file which includes the original Ford handbook pack, extensive MOT history and receipts for later servicing.
