'Stephen Cottage Salon Recitals: Scones and Sonatas' at The David Josefowitz Recital Hall, The Royal Academy of Music (Marylebone Rd, London NW1 5HT) on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2.30pm. These recitals aim for a more intimate 'salon' atmosphere, allowing an extended interval for a relaxed Champagne Cream Tea (featuring the signature scones by Stephen Cottage - the baker of the scones for all of the afternoon teas at the iconic Sketch of Mayfair) and lively conversations with performers and other audience members, fostering a sense of community. Featuring Irène Duval on violin and Mishka Rushdie Momen on piano. Irène Duval, acclaimed for her dramatic phrasing and musical finesse, has graced prestigious stages worldwidth e, captivating audiences with her unique interpretations. Mishka Rushdie Momen, noted as one of Britain's most sensitive pianists, enchants listeners with her expressive performances and has collaborated with renowned musicians at esteemed festivals.
