Hi there. My name is Toby Wilks, and I am a CELTA qualified (Cambridge registered) English language teacher with over 25 years’ experience, teaching here in the UK, and in countries such as Spain, Poland, Brazil and Indonesia.

I was born in London, and speak with a classic British English accent.

I offer one to one lessons, or lessons to small groups, anywhere around the world via Zoom, Teams, Meet, Skype or any other online platform.

I can help you improve your general English to sound more like a native speaker. I can also help you improve your business / professional language, and make you sound in more professional in the workplace, or prepare you for job interviews.

I am a Cambridge examination specialist, and have a huge amount of experience in preparing people for the IELTS, CAE, FCE, BEC, TOEIC, CPE,TOEFL and OET. My clients have a very high success rate in these tests.

I also offer proofreading services for professional documents, university assignments / theses, CVs, and cover letters. Please contact me for further information on this service.

I have helped a wide variety of people improve their English, from Brazilian bankers, to Italian solicitors, to Spanish au pairs, to name just a few.

I have worked in-company for financial institutions such as Monex Europe and Euler Hermes, and law firms such as Slaughter and May, Gide Loyrette Nouel and Shearman and Sterling, as well as multinational companies such as the Maire Tecnimont Group.

I will tailor the lessons to your own particular needs, and they will be structured to help you learn in the way that you find most effective.

I am available from 7:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Friday.

Cost of the lessons:

Individual tuition (one to one):
General English: £25 per hour (60 minutes)
Exam Preparation: £25 per hour (60 minutes)

For two people (same level) - £35 per hour (£17.50 per person)

For small groups up to 4 people - £40 per hour
