Description

Job Title: Telecommunications Installation & Maintenance Engineer (London)

Location: London / Field-based (UK travel required)

Salary: £35k base salary plus use of a company vehicle and fuel card

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Installation & Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of hosted and on-premises telephony systems in the London region. This is a field-based role, requiring frequent travel and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain a range of telephony systems (hosted and on-premises).

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical faults both on-site and remotely.

Perform network and infrastructure checks to ensure optimal telephony performance.

Collaborate with project teams to deliver installations within set timescales.

Provide end-user training and complete thorough system handovers.

Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and configuration details.

Uphold company standards for professionalism, safety, and customer care. Skills & Experience

Proven experience working with telephony systems such as Microsoft Teams, IPECS, and Gamma.

Strong understanding of SIP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, and general networking principles.

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Strong time management and organisational skills to handle multiple projects.

Full UK driving licence (essential). Benefits
