This is the ideal opportunity to join my client, a well-established, industry-leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for their expertise across the civil and structural engineering landscapes, and their passion for sustainability. They are seeking a driven, experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of experts, based near the beautiful, historical city of York.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

Working on a diverse range of Flood Risk, Surface Water, and Drainage projects for the public and private sectorsContributing to River Restoration and Flood Alleviation projectsCompleting Flood Risk Assessments for Zones 1, 2, and 3Producing Surface Water Management Plans, as well as Surface Water and Foul Drainage StrategiesUsing the appropriate software for Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling (including TuFlow and Flood Modeller)Putting together Residential Drainage and Sewerage designs, using Causeway Flow and MicroDrainage across a number of projectsSubmitting Drainage Area Plans

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant discipline)Demonstrable experience of having worked for a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority, in a design roleExtensive experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Hydraulic ModellingOutstanding working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including Flood Modeller, Tuflow, and Causeway FlowExcellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

Experience completing Drainage DesignsHold Chartership Status, or actively working to attain thisPrior experience of having lead design projects and/or a teamGood knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
