This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, an innovative, industry-leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for lending their expertise to a range of high-profile projects across the civil and structural engineering landscapes. They are on the lookout for a driven, experienced Principal Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, willing to take on an array of challenging projects, based in the lively, richly-cultural Welsh Capital City of Cardiff.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:

Managing the design team, overseeing the work carried out on a daily basisUndertaking and technical design work and reportingOverseeing projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, renewable energies, remediation, and railBuild, maintain, and manage client and stakeholder relations

Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:

Hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil EngineeringChartered Status, or proactively working toward thisExtensive experience in infrastructure, drainage, and highways designHighly competent in adoptable works, including the adoption procedure for highways authorities and water utilitiesExcellent working knowledge of a number of relevant software packages, including MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, etc.Demonstrable experience of leading an array of design projectsExperience of liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectorsPrior experience of managing a team of design engineers and techniciansOutstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsGood organisational and time management skillsPossess a full, valid UK driving licence

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:

Prior experience of client and stakeholder managementExperience of marketing, including winning business/contractsThe ability to speak Welsh
