The Role of the Press Brake Operator:

Read and interpret shop orders and engineering drawings to complete jobs accuratelySet up and operate press brakes to bend, form, shape or straighten plate and sheet metalVerify dimensions using precision tools (calipers, protractors, gauges) to meet specCarry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance before/after shiftsAdjust settings (speed, feed, backgauge/path) for safe, consistent, high-quality outputTest and fine-tune machine operation using gauges and hand tools per product specInspect finished/assembled parts for conformance to quality standardsProcess and update shop orders within the ERP systemFollow all H&S procedures and wear required PPEReport equipment issues or quality concerns promptly to supervisors

Requirements of the Press Brake Operator

At least 2 year s Press Brake operating experienceIdeally able to use guillotine, bandsaw and laser cutting equipmentFLT (Forklift Truck) licenceFull UK driving licence
