Power Electronics Design Engineer

Description

This role is a Hybrid role - remote/come to the office a few days a week.

You'll join a specialist engineering team developing the next generation of variable-frequency drives used across global industrial and energy-saving applications. This is a hands-on design position working on complex power electronics circuits from concept through to testing and validation.

What you'll do:

Design, simulate, analyse and test electronic and power-electronics circuits.Produce schematic designs and PCB layouts.Work on AC motor-control systems and contribute to performance improvements.Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and test teams on new product development.Ensure designs meet EMC and compliance standards.What you'll need:

Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.Experience in power-electronics design and circuit simulation.Good understanding of AC motor control and PCB design.Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.Desirable:

Experience with Altium Designer.Simulation using MATLAB / PSIM.Knowledge of PFC circuits and DSP-based motor control firmware.Familiarity with EMC testing and compliance.What's on offer:
