Description

Your new company

You'll be joining an established organisation operating within a fast-paced processing and manufacturing environment. The site relies heavily on its engineering team to keep plant and production equipment running efficiently, safely and with minimal downtime.

Your new role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production and processing equipment. You'll diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults, working on equipment including motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and valves.

You'll also support equipment installations and modifications, help identify recurring faults and contribute to improvements in plant reliability, efficiency and downtime reduction.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need previous experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar within a manufacturing or process environment. Experience within food/FMCG, recycling, waste, chemical, plastics or general process manufacturing would transfer particularly well. You should be confident with both mechanical and electrical fault-finding and have experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance. A recognised engineering qualification such as an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or HNC would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return

You'll have the opportunity to join a busy engineering environment where you can use both your mechanical and electrical skills across a varied range of plant and machinery. You'll also be involved in reliability and continuous improvement activities alongside day-to-day maintenance.
