Manufacturing Engineer

Peterborough - Fully on site PE1

Initially 9 months - very long term extensions are highly likely

Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm / Friday 7:00am - 11:00am

28.10ph + Holiday + Pension or 38.15 Umbrella Rate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading a globally recognised Fortune 100 engineering and manufacturing organisation within a highly advanced engine manufacturing environment.

Working across Assembly and Final Assembly operations, you'll support New Product Introduction (NPI), process improvement, manufacturing projects and production support activities, helping to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost.

This is a varied role offering exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies, major improvement programmes and capital investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver manufacturing engineering and process improvement projects Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing readiness Develop and improve manufacturing processes, PFMEAs, Control Plans and Standard Work Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives Support prototype, pilot and validation builds Identify and implement improvements to equipment, tooling and manufacturing systems Investigate manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions Work closely with Operations, Quality, Product Engineering and suppliers What We're Looking For

Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production or assembly environment Experience delivering manufacturing improvement, industrialisation or NPI projects Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience Good understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans and process validation Strong analytical, problem-solving and project delivery skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
