Our client are a small precision engineering company based in Birmingham. Established for over 70 years, this family run business have been successfully involved in low volume/prototype manufacturing parts to a variety of industries. They employ 10 members of staff and offer both CNC and conventional machining.

Due to changes in the business they are now looking to recruit a Machine Shop Manager. You will have have worked in a similar capacity and are looking for a new challenge.

This is an excellent opportunity to take full ownership of a hands-on Production Manager role, overseeing a team of 7 CNC/Conventional machinists, driving day-to-day operations, and ensuring high standards across new projects and modifications.

The Role

Managing new jobs through to completion Ordering materials and liaising with suppliers Dealing with customers Looking at business strategy Compliance Overseeing Health and Safety Working on Autocad when new jobs come in

The Candidate

Production / Machine Shop Managerial experience High level experience within a tooling OR machining environment Strong communicator with leadership or supervisory experience This role will offer a certain degree of flexibility in working hours and great benefits including a great pension and private healthcare for you and your family.
