Teacher of History (3 Days a Week)

Location: Burton-on-Trent

Start Date: January 2026

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Teacher of History to join a supportive secondary school in Burton-on-Trent on a part-time basis (3 days a week), starting in January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving department and deliver engaging lessons to students at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. The ideal candidate will inspire students and help them develop a deep understanding of History in a flexible and rewarding work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons that cater to the needs of students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.

Regularly assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to encourage their academic growth.

Actively contribute to the department and the wider school community.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a well-rounded and cohesive curriculum.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching History at secondary level.

Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.

A commitment to providing a high standard of education, with the ability to engage and inspire students.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the school's ongoing development.
