Description
Role: CNC Service Technician
Location: Birmingham / Field Based
Salary: 30,000 - 38,000 depending on experience + overtime
My client is looking for a CNC Service Technician to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong knowledge of Mazak CNC machinery to work with a respected company supporting customers across a wide range of manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of CNC machine toolsFault finding on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsPreventative maintenance and breakdown response at customer sitesDiagnostics and support on Mazak CNC controls and machineryMachine geometry checks, alignments, and performance optimisationProviding technical support and training to customers where requiredCompleting accurate service reports and documentationMaintaining excellent customer relationships and representing the business professionally
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a CNC Service Engineer or CNC Maintenance EngineerStrong hands-on experience with Mazak CNC machinesKnowledge of Mazatrol / Mazak control systemsAbility to read electrical drawings and mechanical schematicsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsFull UK driving licenceAbility to work independently and manage field service schedulesExperience with multi-axis machining centres or turning centresPLC fault finding knowledgeCustomer-facing service experienceWR Engineering are the recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
