Morson are recruiting on behalf a leading defence equipment manufacturers based at their facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Candidate MUST have prior Surface Mount experience to be considered. This is a contract role initially for 12 months although highly likely to be long-term.

£26.12 per hour (Umbrella) or £19.46 per hour PAYE (holiday pay is paid on top) *role is INSIDE IR35* Monday - Friday 37 hours +

Role Overview:

The Surface Mount Circuit Card Operator will be responsible for the carrying out of machine manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business, in accordance with product certification procedures, defined workmanship standards, allocated budgets and timescales to meet project objectives.

Specific responsibilities include:

Surface mount and through-hole component assemblyHand soldering Circuit Card Assemblies to IPC 610 & 001Fine soldering under magnificationOperations of equipment, to build circuit card assemblies including:

DEK screen print machineMyCronic Pick and place machineERSA reflow solder ovenKoh Young Automated optical inspectionUndertake detailed standard assembly / manufacturing activities, undertaking all work to requisite procedures, quality standards, safety requirements and timescalesContribute to the efficient movement of work and information in the manufacturing areaAdhere in all activities to agreed standards and behavioursComply with all health and safety requirements

Skillset/experience required:

Essential skills:

MUST have prior Surface Mount experience Prior knowledge of circuit card assemblyMust have manufacturing experienceDexterity for fine workRead and interpret layoutsFollow instructionsWilling to work flexible shift patternsAttention to detailWork on own with minimal supervisionFlexible

Desirable skills:
