Description
Fawkes & Reece West are currently working with an established M&E client who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing M&E refurbishment works on a hotel and spa complex in Windsor, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E Project Manager with a strong refurbishment background to join a significant project for an extended period.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of M&E refurbishment works.
Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors, engineers, site teams and suppliers.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme, specifications and project requirements.
Coordinate M&E works with the wider construction and refurbishment programme.
Monitor progress, productivity and quality throughout the project.
Attend and lead project meetings, progress meetings and coordination meetings as required.
Liaise with the client, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
Identify and manage project risks, issues and potential delays.
Ensure all works comply with relevant health and safety legislation, project procedures and site requirements.
Monitor project costs and assist with commercial management where required.
Review drawings, specifications, programmes and technical information.
Ensure appropriate commissioning, testing and handover procedures are completed.
Maintain accurate project records and provide regular progress updates.Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Proven experience working as an M&E Project Manager within the construction or building services sector.
Strong experience delivering M&E refurbishment projects, ideally within hotels, leisure, hospitality or similarly complex occupied environments.
A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
Previous experience managing subcontractors and multiple M&E trades.
Experience coordinating M&E works alongside other construction disciplines.
Excellent programme management and organisational skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a construction environment.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant project management/reporting systems.Qualifications & Certifications
The following qualifications/certifications would be highly desirable:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
CSCS card appropriate to the role.
Relevant M&E / Building Services qualification or degree.
HNC/HND or degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent would be advantageous.
First Aid at Work qualification would be beneficial.
Relevant professional membership, such as CIBSE, CIOB or IET, would be advantageous.The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a confident and experienced M&E Project Manager who can take ownership of the project and effectively manage the delivery of complex refurbishment works.
You will need to be commercially and technically aware, highly organised and comfortable working with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams. xjnqpsq Experience working within a live hotel, hospitality or leisure environment would be particularly beneficial.
