Job Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical Assembler Team Leader to oversee and support the daily operations of our Traffic Controller production line in Melsonby. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in electrical assembly that possess mechanical knowledge and enjoys leading a team, solving problems, and ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Shifts: 8.30 AM till 5 PM Monday to Thursday and a 2.30 PM finish on a Friday.

Key Responsibilities

* Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead and motivate production teams, ensuring alignment with production plans. Provide feedback, drive continuous improvement, and support employee development.

* Production Oversight: Manage end-to-end production of Traffic Controllers, including assembly, testing, and quality control. Ensure output meets customer requirements and delivery schedules.

* Process Improvement & Compliance: Implement lean manufacturing practices and 5S principles. Monitor operations to ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and health & safety regulations.

* Problem Solving & Quality Assurance: Lead root cause analysis for production or quality issues. Investigate and resolve non-conformances, customer complaints, and ensure corrective actions are taken and tracked.

* Technical Assembly: Support hands on electro-mechanical assembly work, interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and using appropriate tools and handling equipment safely.

* Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Work cross-functionally to support process innovation and cost saving measures.

Requirements

* Driving Licence and car.

* Proven supervisory or experience of leading team members.

* 3 years hands-on experience in electro-mechanical production.

* Experience in Pannel Building is advantageous.

* Six Sigma or equivalent Lean Manufacturing training is advantageous.

* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)

* Logical and creative thinking

* Creative problem solving with an aptitude for researching, identifying and applying different technologies

* Planning and managing design tasks and documenting process
