Description
This has been a fantastic trike which has allowed me to ride around the lanes both locally and on holiday, but we are selling it because my disability has got to the stage where I can no longer use it safely. It is a red Jorvik folding electric mountain tricycle JMT9 with 250 Watt motor assist. It folds in two sections using quick release levers, and has quick release front wheel and saddle, so that it can be loaded into the boot of a car. The large, 20", chunky tyres, front suspension and sprung saddle give it a comfortable ride. The front suspension can be adjusted for Sag, depending on intended use and preferences. The 7 speed gears on a mid axle are of the hub type, allowing good ground clearance and no need for maintenance. The shifter is of the Shimano twist type. A differential ensures that power is shared to both rear wheels. The battery is mounted vertically under the saddle, so doesn't take up luggage room. This is anti-theft lockable and can be charged either on or off the trike. There are hydraulically operated disc brakes on all three wheels which incorporate a "hand brake" facility. There are mudguards fitted to all wheels and there is a large luggage box which can carry plenty of sandwiches (and drinks) for a picnic trip! One of the handy features of this model is the "starter" booster which assists when peddling from stationary. I have found this particularly useful on a hill or rough ground. There is also a walk mode facility. There are LED lights at the front and back with the rear lights showing when braking. The control panel shows the power level you are using (up to 5), battery level, speed, mileage, and clock. The milage is only 225.2 miles.
