Description
2022 model, fairly high spec, rides like new. This is a ‘low’ frame, Haibike do high, medium, low and ladies.
Excellent Yamaha ST motor, switchgear and display screen. Several ride modes including auto, which I’ve mostly used. It switches between the other modes according to the demands placed by pedal force, speed, cadence etc. The algorithm’s must be good as it always seems to feel right.
Turbo makes pedalling in effortless in any situation, but obviously drains the battery quicker.
Talking of the battery, it’s a big 625w one, I’ve had a genuine 50 miles from it.
Deore spec on most of the parts
Radial hydraulic discs
Rear rack
Full mudguards
Walk assist.
11 speed.
Big 2.8 inch colour display, this is the factory optional upgraded display, standard one is built into the switch on the left bar, and monotone.
150 lumen Sky Beamer front light, rear light, switched on easily via a dedicated button on the display (factory standard)
Good Shwalbe tires
27.5 inch wheels with 2.35 wide tires. Make for comfortable riding.
Sun Tour front suspension with lockout and preload adjustment.
Just put a new Haibike seat on it as I managed to badly scuff the original on the garage wall.
Comes with charger
The bike has done 1600 miles from new. Holds it charge perfectly, for weeks if necessary I’ve always tried to keep it about 50%.
Bad bits.
I’m the second owner.
The mat black tends to show up marks easily. A few marks here and there.
The key to remove the battery has been lost. New locks are available and easy to fit. You never actually need to remove the battery as it’s charged on board the bike, if you do decide you want to remove it, it’s just two small Bolts holding it in place.
It’s not mint, it’s a used bike. I’ve done some gentle lanes on it.
I’ve really enjoyed this bike, so much so that I’ve just bought a new Trekking 8 ‘Low’ model which is supposedly an upgrade but honestly doesn’t ride any better.
It’s a large frame, I’m 6’1” and find it very comfortable.
Haibike are a German manufacturer and the bikes are ‘designed, engineered, and built in Germany according to their website, with the exception of the Yamaha motor, display and switchgear.
This is my 8th electric bike, all previous ones were top brands, and this one is without doubt the best so far.
