(1993) "12.01" film synopsis
"12:01" is a 1993 TV movie where a man, Barry Thomas, relives the same day repeatedly after witnessing a scientist's murder. He's the only one aware of the time loop and must figure out how to save her and break the cycle. The movie is a science fiction thriller with elements of comedy.
The plot centers around Barry, a seemingly ordinary office worker at a science lab, who becomes entangled in a time loop after a bizarre electrical accident. He witnesses the assassination of Lisa Fredericks, a brilliant scientist he admires, and is devastated by her death. When he wakes up to the same day, he realizes he's trapped in a time loop, reliving the same 24 hours.
Barry uses the repeated days to try and save Lisa and prevent her murder, while also uncovering a conspiracy involving illegal experiments with the lab's particle accelerator. He learns that the time loop was caused by these experiments, and that the perpetrators are trying to silence Lisa. Barry, with the help of an undercover government agent, must stop the experiment and break the time loop before it becomes permanent
