The 999R designed under the direction Pierre Terblanche the 999 represented a complete re think of Ducati Superbike following from the 916 /996 /998 family was never going to be easy but the 999 was designed with performance rather than nostalgia as its priority, its long low and narrow profile helped reduce frontal area , whilst revised weight distribution a longer double sided swing arm and highly adjustable chassis were developed to improve stability , breaking and corner exit performance. The999R is increasingly regarded as one if the most significant Ducati's of its generation. The 999R was the homologation model created to provide Ducati with the foundations required for top level Superbike racing.The R spec is amazing spec including Carbon fibre fairing, aluminium sub frame magnesium head light support.
