Description
Sonar 3-piece jazz kit, late 60’s to early 70’s Red Pearlescent.
The kit has a set of bags but not for the extra silver tom which was added recently.
All the shells are in great condition.
Some fittings have been modified over the years. I have added one small tom to it by using a stand to make it a 4 piece.
All drums have had custom triggers installed and have mesh heads.( the installation has not damaged the shells in any way and they can be removed.)
The kit includes a multi-channel snake.
2Box Drummit 5 Brain, Hi-hat (with modified Mapex/2Box hi-hat stand), Ride & Crash cymbals (the rubber covers will need replacing at some point, as they are perishing around the edges) I have been using the 2 box as a Midi converter into my laptop using drum software, but it still has all of its own sounds built in.
I have all the acoustic velums boxed and an acoustic set of cymbals in a cymbal bag (The cymbal bag will need to be repaired ant the bottom). The Cymbals included are: Meinl: Hi-hat Crash, Ride and a Zildjean : splash.
2Box Drummit 5 kick pedal
Pearl Kick pedal.
Drum throne Dixon
All the stands are included plus some old original Sonar damaged bits n pieces.
A rucksack-stickbag Combo with a wide range of sticks is included
Also included are:
.2 x Acoustic hi-hat clutches
Cowbells and block
Assorted leads and cables
The triggers I bought from Thonman and are fitted onto brackets which I made. I Fixed them using the damper bracket holes (All the damper brackets are disassembled and in a box) I tried not to make any new holes. There is an extra trigger in some of the drums for brains that have that option, but the 2 box brain only has the option for one trigger per drum. So the second piezo pickups have been disconnected but can be re-instated if need to. All the jack plugs are loose! When I installed the triggers, I knew that the kit was going to stay in one place so I didn't fix them. If you are planning to gig with this kit replacing them would probably be best, I used guitar barrel jacks because its all I had at the time they worked for me. One of the stabiliser legs for the bass drum will need repair, I have used an upside down bolt for years, again I wasn't gigging. I have the original leg. Regarding the 2box, you need to do your research on it, it has great sounds in the module but I used it as an interface into my PC using Superior Drummer 3software.
