Hand carved from a single piece of wood. Depicting an elephant with a backdrop of tree and leaves.
Animal skin head.
Rope tuning.
Well looked after and in excellent condition.
Nice contrast between the bass tone and rim tone.
Bought in 2006, from Lamin Jassey, well known djeme pro.
Lamin imported the shells and skins from African, then assembled them in his Leeds workshop.
