Description
Hello!
We are Dissolved Girl, an indie ‘Trip Rock’ band in London. We are looking for an awesome drummer to play some upcoming London gigs.
We have released most of our debut album (mixed by Dani Castelar with 4 x no.1 albums) and have tens of thousands of streams on Spotify.
We have three upcoming London gigs booked, and some rehearsals (schedule below). The gigs are at Dublin Castle, Fiddler’s Elbow and Stag’s Head.
We value dynamics, groove, feel and sonic experimentation over technical flash. We’re looking for a great player who’s really into the songs and the sound. You also need to be comfortable playing with in-ear monitors, as samples are a key part of the live sound.
Who we’re looking for:
- Those who are into the songs / sound
- Tasteful drummers with groove, chops and great experience
- Proper gear and transport, can rehearse in Hackney
- Be available for all rehearsal and gig dates
Rehearsal / gig schedule
- Rehearsal - Wednesday 1 July
- Rehearsal - Friday 3rd July
- Gig - Saturday 4th July
- Rehearsal - Thursday 6 August
- Gig - Friday 7 August
- Rehearsal - Tuesday 22 September
- Gig - Wednesday 23 September
All rehearsals will take place at the Premises in Hackney. If we make any money from the gig itself, that will be split equally between those playing.
How to Apply:
Send a response explaining who you are, why you would like to join, and with a video of you playing. Ideally you’ll be playing along to one of the songs we’ve already released! If not you could send footage of you playing something else that is stylistically appropriate.
We will not answer those who do not follow what we’ve requested in the ‘how to apply’ section.
Auditions:
Auditions will likely be held at some point in June (at the Premises in Hackney), so we can meet and see if it gels and we all get on.
Thanks very much for your interest!
With love,
DG x
