We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician in Preston. The Vehicle Technician role presents a valuable opportunity for experienced automotive professionals seeking a stable, full-time position within a well-equipped workshop environment. The successful individual will join a friendly team dedicated to delivering high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs.

Competitive salary between £35,000 and £40,000, dependent on experience

Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am–5:00pm

Opportunity for career development in a dynamic, collaborative settingDuties of the Vehicle Technician:

Conducting vehicle servicing, oil changes, suspension repairs, exhaust replacements, and brake work

Performing engine repairs, turbo diagnostics, timing belt replacements, clutch work, and gearbox repairs

Completing accurate job cards and workshop documentation

Supporting MOT testing, subject to qualification, or assisting with MOT preparation

Managing a personal workload independently while contributing to team goals

Ensuring high standards of quality and safety across all mechanical repairsRequirements of the Vehicle Technician:

Proven experience as a vehicle technician, with a solid understanding of mechanical repairs and diagnostics

Level 3 qualification is preferred; however, individuals with strong time-served garage experience and Level 2 or no formal qualification will also be considered

Full UK driving licence is essential

Own tools are preferred; workshop tools are available

Reliable, practical, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
