Sheet Metal Worker - Farnborough

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Aerospace manufacturing customer based in Farnborough, who are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join their high performing team. The company is a leading supplier of precision components and assemblies, including pipework, ducts, and fasteners, to OEMs and Tier 1s across both civil and military Aerospace sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate components and assemblies from sheet metal according to engineering drawings.

Cut and prepare parts for welding and detail assembly.

Carry out operations such as swaging, dressing, and setting parts after heat treatment or welding.

Utilise special processes and deburring methods to meet required standards.

Polish and finish parts to high-quality requirements.

Ensure batch cards are stamped and job data is updated in BDE system.

Follow the Work To List to maintain production schedules.

Book jobs on and off in a timely and accurate manner.

Maintain 5S standards within the department.

Support internal and customer audits as required.

Comply with all Health & Safety requirements and company quality standards.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with exotic sheet metals to fine tolerances.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong quality focus.

Flexible and willing to support other roles within the business.

Good understanding of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable:

Indentured apprenticeship within aerospace or similar industry.

Experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 standards.

Experience in disciplines such as Sheet Metal, Coppersmithing, Welding, and Machining.

Contribution to process improvement, quality, and time-saving initiatives.
