Senior Test Engineer

We are recruiting for a Senior Electronics Test & Inspection Technician to strengthen their Electronics department. This role will involve planning, coordinating, and prioritising daily tasks across the Test & Inspection team, as well as mentoring apprentices and technicians. You’ll also deputise for the Group Leader when required, taking on leadership responsibilities to keep the team running at peak performance.

Principal Accountabilities

*

Test and inspect sensors, harnesses, and component assemblies to agreed procedures.

*

Produce fault reports for any issues identified in production.

*

Ensure timely and accurate data entry into EPICOR and TLS systems.

*

Support and mentor Test & Inspection Technicians and Electronics Apprentices.

Additional Accountabilities

*

Maintain a clean and compliant working environment in line with COSHH and H&S standards.

*

Act as a positive ambassador for the department and wider team.

*

Manage the supply of electronic assemblies and components to third-party customers.

Technical Competencies

*

Experienced in testing and inspection of electronic items (including shaker testing).

*

Certified to inspect PCAs/PCBs to IPC standards.

*

Proficient in Team Planner, EPICOR, TLS, and other relevant systems.

*

Strong ability to plan and coordinate daily tasks across the Test & Inspection team.
